Properties Page Overview

How to manage your property database in MyOps: filtering by status, searching, sorting, bulk actions, and the typical property lifecycle.

The Properties section is your property database in MyOps. Use it to manage and track every property in your portfolio, whether active listings, pending sales, pre-market opportunities, or inactive records.

Find it under My Systems > Properties in the sidebar.

What's in this section

  • Properties Table View: Your primary workspace: a searchable, sortable, filterable table of every property with address, agent, price, and status.
  • Adding a Property: How to create new property records with the Add Property form, including required and optional fields.
  • Managing Properties: Viewing details, editing, changing status, deleting, and bulk actions across the property lifecycle.

Key concepts

The four statuses

Every property has exactly one status, shown as a color-coded badge:

  • Active (blue): On the market, actively marketed, available for showings and offers.
  • Pending (yellow): Under contract, working toward closing, not actively marketed. Can still fall through.
  • Inactive (gray): Off-market: sold, withdrawn, or a past listing.
  • Pre-Market (gray): Coming soon: not yet publicly listed, in the preparation or exclusive-preview phase.

Status lifecycle

The typical journey a property takes:

  1. Pre-Market: Property is being prepared.
  2. Active: Officially on the market.
  3. Pending: Under contract.
  4. Inactive: Sold or withdrawn.

Note: Properties move between statuses as situations change. A contract that falls through moves Pending back to Active; a re-listing moves Inactive back to Active.

Core tools

  • Search by address: Type any part of an address; results filter automatically. Case-insensitive, partial matches supported.
  • Filter by status: Use the Show: dropdown to view All Properties, Active, Pending, Inactive, or Pre-Market.
  • Sort columns: Click a column header: first click ascending, second descending, third removes sorting.
  • Bulk selection: Check boxes to select multiple properties for batch operations.
  • Quick actions: Pencil icon to edit, arrow icon to view details.

Best practices

  • Update status promptly: Move properties to the correct status as situations change; this keeps searches and reporting accurate.
  • Keep pricing current: Run regular market analysis and adjust prices.
  • Use Pre-Market: Build interest before an official launch.
  • Search, don't scroll: Find properties by address instead of paging through the table.
  • Review regularly: Check each status category weekly for accuracy.
  • Track agent assignments: Ensure every property has a responsible agent.
  • Document changes: Add a note when you update status or price.
  • Prefer Inactive over delete: Keep historical records instead of permanently removing properties.
